Its naturally beautiful soft teal color comes from Blue Tansy and Yarrow essential oils, whose naturally occurring chamazulene contributes their distinctive blue coloration. Blue Tansy, Yarrow and Frankincense also give the serum its complex, softly herbaceous aroma.
Use Teal Insight Serum as a daily facial serum, smooth it over the neck and décolletage, massage it into hands and cuticles, or work a few drops through the ends of hair to soften and tame frizz. ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS:
Camellia Seed Oil is the foundation of this serum and is naturally rich in oleic acid, with linoleic acid, tocopherols, phytosterols and polyphenolic antioxidants. Exceptionally silky and emollient, it helps soften and condition dry-feeling skin while supporting a smooth, supple appearance. Its affinity for both skin and hair also makes it especially useful in a multi-purpose serum designed to condition without feeling excessively heavy.
Olive Squalene is a naturally occurring lipid with excellent emollient properties and an affinity for the skin's own lipids. It helps reduce moisture loss, support the skin barrier and give the serum its silky, cushiony feel while leaving skin soft rather than coated.
Fractionated Coconut Oil is composed predominantly of lightweight caprylic and capric triglycerides. It provides excellent slip and spreadability, helps carry the serum's richer botanical oils across the skin and hair, and contributes to its light, non-greasy finish.
Jojoba Oil is technically a liquid wax rather than a triglyceride oil and contains long-chain wax esters, along with naturally occurring tocopherols and phytosterols. Its wax esters are similar in character to components of human sebum, making jojoba an especially skin-compatible emollient that helps soften, condition and protect against moisture loss.
Sweet Almond Oil provides oleic and linoleic fatty acids, along with naturally occurring tocopherols and phytosterols. It adds nourishing emollience and helps leave dry or rough-feeling skin softer, smoother and more comfortable.
Argan Oil contains oleic and linoleic fatty acids, tocopherols, phytosterols and polyphenolic compounds that help nourish and condition the skin while providing antioxidant support. It is also especially useful for smoothing and conditioning dry hair and helping improve its softness and manageability.
Castor Oil is uniquely rich in ricinoleic acid, an unusual fatty acid responsible for its dense, protective emollience. Used here in a small amount, it adds richness and helps seal in moisture while conditioning dry skin, cuticles and hair.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) provides antioxidant protection to the formulation's botanical oils while also contributing additional skin-conditioning benefits.
Blue Tansy Essential Oil contains naturally occurring chamazulene, the deep-blue aromatic compound responsible for much of Blue Tansy's characteristic color. It is included in this formula in a very small amount for its soothing skin-care properties as well as the beautiful blue tone it contributes to the serum.
Yarrow Essential Oil also contains naturally occurring chamazulene, reinforcing both the serum's teal coloration and its soothing botanical character.
Frankincense Essential Oil rounds out the aromatic blend with its warm, resinous complexity and is traditionally associated with centering, contemplation and mindfulness.
